Itinerary 3 Camping and lodging – 10 days Ark, Northern Frontier District, Baringo, Masai Mara
Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to the Aberdare National Park, to stay at the Ark. The Ark is 8000 feet above sea level in the the Aberdare Range. It is designed to give guests a chance to view Kenya’s wildlife at night.
Day 2: Leaving the Ark after breakfast we drive to the Northern Frontier District and the Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba reserves. We camp on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river.
Days 3 & 4: Game viewing in the reserves.
Day 5: Drive to Island Camp on Lake Baringo.
Day 6: Relaxing at Island Camp. (See the previous itinerary to details of Island Camp.)
Day 7: Leave Island camp early and drive down the Rift Valley, up onto the Ngishu plateau and across to the Mara. Overnight at Siringet Safaris camp in the Mara.
Days 8 & 9: Game viewing in the Mara, camping at Siringet Safaris camp.
Day 10: Return to Nairobi in the morning.
